STRC Effective Yield Calculator

STRC pays its dividend on the $100 stated amount, not the market price. So when STRC trades below par, a buyer earns an effective yield above the headline rate. The formula: effective yield = stated rate × (100 ÷ price).

Effective yield
12.29%
Annual dividend / share$12.00
Trading $2.34 below par → 0.29 pts above the stated rate.

Prefilled with STRC's last close ($97.66) and current rate (12.00%) as of August 29, 2026 — edit either field to recalculate. Not financial advice.

Why effective yield differs from the stated rate

A $100-par STRC share paying 12% distributes $12 a year regardless of what you paid for it. Buy at $85 and that $12 is a 14.1% yield on your cost; buy at $100 and it's exactly 12%. This is why STRC's variable rate and its market price both matter — Strategy resets the rate monthly partly to keep the price near par.
