Rates are from Strategy's SEC 8-K filings and dividend announcements. Because STRC pays on the $100 stated amount, the effective yield to a buyer is higher whenever the shares trade below par.
What changed in July 2026
Two things: the rate stepped up to 12.00%, and the payment cadence moved from monthly to semi-monthly (two record dates per month, the 15th and month-end) effective July 1, 2026. Strategy still evaluates the rate monthly, so further resets are possible.
What changes in November 2026
Daily dividends, approved. At a special meeting on October 28, 2026, Strategy's common stockholders approved amendments moving all four of its preferred stocks to daily dividends (in Strategy's words, "based on preliminary voting results, the requisite vote was obtained"). From November 1, 2026, every calendar day (weekends and holidays included) is a STRC record date, with each declared dividend paid the next business day. Dividends whose record dates fall on a weekend or holiday share the preceding trading day as their ex-date and are paid together: Friday, Saturday and Sunday dividends all pay on Monday. STRF, STRK and STRD follow from January 1, 2027. The change does not alter any dividend rate or the total paid: the same annual dividend arrives in smaller, more frequent payments, and dividends are still paid only when declared by the Board.
